This position is responsible for managing and overseeing all quality related functions in the plant. Additionally,

this role drives continuous improvement of Isola’s Quality Management System and the plant’s quality culture.

Drive achievement of quality related KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to “exceed our customer’s everevolving expectations through Quality Excellence, Innovation and Continuous Improvement”. Manage the

effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Participate on plant leadership team to meet critical

operating objectives and maturing the quality culture

Job Responsibilities:

Be the Quality Management Representative for the facility.

• Drive annual reduction in customer complaints, customer returns and production scrap

• Manage the quality function through coaching, development, and evaluation.

• Set priorities, establish work schedules and monitor the work of direct reports.

• Evaluate performance of quality systems against standards and initiate corrective action(s).

• Continuously improve inspector training, while maintaining the certification and re-certification programs.

• Establish, review, approve, and monitor plant performance against internal, industry, and customer quality

standards and specifications.

• Ensure internal Quality Management System compliance with relevant specifications along with

coordination of the document control and quality records systems.

• Apply statistical methods/analysis to improve processes, products, and measurement systems capabilities

driving variation reduction.

• Assist other departments with the introduction of new or improved processes, and solving

quality/production related problems.

• Assure all departments are compliant to quality standards and managers, process owners, and

supervisors maintain their part of the quality management system.

• Overseeing and conducting internal audits to monitor plant compliance against customer, industry, and

Isola quality management and product standards.

• Quality focal point for customers and suppliers. Coordinate effective 8D corrective actions on customer

responses after collaborating with other functional departments.

• Work closely with the other site QA Managers and share and deploy best practices.

• Help drive quality system, control, process standardization,

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred areas of study Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science,

or other technical discipline.

• 8+ years Quality experience in manufacturing; PCB industry experience a plus.

• 5+ years supervisory/management experience preferred

• Team facilitation skills including conflict resolution, consensus building and change management

• Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to listen, motivate, coach, and lead in a team environment both

exempt and non-exempt employees.

• Demonstrated successful problem solving skills using 5 Whys, for example.

• Demonstrated the ability to do data mining, analyze data statistically

• Have practiced and successfully deployed Lean (Toyota Production System) activities.

• Certified Auditor in ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949 (or AS9100, cGMP, etc.) preferred.

• Certified Lead Auditor a plus.

• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification; Six Sigma Black belt certification preferred.

• Must have practical experience in setting up, running and analyzing DOE, SPC, ANOVA and GR&R

studies, for example.

• ASQC, CQE or CQM certification preferred
